Manuel Lima
Manuel is an interaction designer, researcher and founder of VisualComplexity.com: A visual exploration on mapping complex networks. He was recently named by Creativity magazine "one of the 50 most influent and creative minds of 2009".

With a background in industrial design, Manuel holds a masters degree in Design & Technology from the Parsons School of Design. Manuel is currently a Senior User Experience Designer at Nokia, being responsible by their new generation of software and services.

The Experience of Visualization

Information Visualization is an emergent field capturing the imagination of numerous practitioners across the globe. It’s also an area that poses critical challenges from an interaction and user interface perspective.

In this 3-hour workshop we will go over the fundamental principles that make a good information visualization project, exploring the field’s main propositions and looking at practical examples on how to improve the overall user experience.
