Sami Niemelä

Sami is a designer-at-heart, with a goal to make the world a better and more meaningful place, one project at the time. He is rather passionate about human driven interaction within digital and physical services, brands and devices.

He firmly believes an individual can and should change the world with his actions and has a very strong will to also do so.

Apart from writing profile descriptions of himself in third person, in his spare time Sami likes to bring people together and spread the gospel of interaction design as the local leader of IxDA Helsinki.

Designing Agile Interactions

More and more UX projects deal with agile development in one way or another. For an interaction designer / project lead, this makes the projects themselves sometimes rather complex systems to control. In order to succeed, the projects themselves need to be designed to possibly evolve throughout the project.

How does this work? How to carry through the different phases from research to implementation? What types of phases can or should be even involved directly w/ agile teams? What are the roles of different stakeholders?

This is what I will spend the 20 minutes on, sharing our experiences of working with different type of agile dev teams in designing and developing banking, telecomms and media-related products and services.
