Before joining LBi, Sarah founded Skybluepink, an interaction design company focusing on the effective integration of research into technology development, and worked for over 3 years as an interaction designer at IDEO. Sarah’s background is in graphic design, and she holds a masters from the Royal College of Art in Computer Related Design.
The focus have shifted towards conversations and co-creation. Persuasive design is still hot on everyone's lips. However, the brightest brains in user-centered design have always claimed that information and persuasion are two conflicting approaches. Persuasion is a dirty word associated with manipulation, or even propaganda, and information is pure and almost seen as noble - but there's a middle ground and the two modes of communication are compatible and benefit from each other. Persuasive design is dead - long live Seduction design...
